Ingredients Quantity to Prepare Puri Aloo Dum Recipe

  • 2 cups Wheat Flour.
  • 1 liter Oil.
  • ½ kg medium sized Potatoes.
  • 2 chopped Onion.
  • 2 chopped Tomato.
  • 4 Green Chilly.
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger Paste.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Paste.
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds.
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric Powder.
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder.
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar.
  • 1 Bay Leaf.
  • Garnish with Fresh Coriander Leaves.
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala Powder.
  • Salt to Taste.

Steps To Prepare Puri Aloo Dum Recipe

1st Steps How to Prepare Aloo Dum ?

1 First boil and peel the potatoes.

2 After that heat 3 teaspoon oil in a Non Stick Pan and fry the Potatoes till golden. Then drain and transfer to a plate.

3 Then take in the same pan add 3 teaspoon more Oil and add Bay Leaf and Cumin Seeds.

4 Add 1 finely chopped Green Chilli and finely chopped Onion and fry till the Onion is nicely golden brown.

5 After that add half the Garam Masala Powder, Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli Powder saute well and then add Ginger Garlic Paste, chopped Tomato into it.

6 Once the Oil start leaving sides, lower the flame and saute well.

7 Finally add Potatoes. Check for Salt and add more according to taste. Then add 1 glass of water and bring to boil.

2nd Steps How to Make Puri ?

1 Take Wheat Flour, Salt in a bowl. Add 2 teaspoon Oil and rub it into the flour.

2 Then add water slowly and knead to dough.

3 Rest the dough for 10 – 15 minutes. Divide the dough into equal portions, roll it in an oiled surface till thin.

4 Finally dip fry the Puri in oil, press on top till puffy, flip over and cook till little brown in both sides.

Now Puri Aloo Dum is Ready to Serve hot.
